A SYDNEY man has been charged after the seizure of 45kg of pseudoephedrine at Sydney Airport, which police say could have been used to manufacture $15.7 million worth of the drug ice.

Customs seized the pseudoephedrine at the airport's air cargo facility on June 10, after finding it hidden in a consignment of glass boxes from Lebanon.

The Australian Federal Police investigated the shipment, and subsequently arrested a 28-year-old Guildford man after a search of his home.
