Weeks before a woman disappeared from her NSW south coast home, her de facto tried to have her deported, a court has been told.
Kaniappa Raju, 45, is standing trial in the NSW Supreme Court for the murder of Aruna Verma, who went missing from their Port Kembla home where they lived with their four daughters.
The Fiji-born woman has not been seen since June 2, 2002, and her bank accounts and mobile phone have not been touched, with Medicare and immigration records also showing no sign of activity.
