Camden received a blast from the past when Pauline Hanson whirled through town yesterday (Wednesday) to support opposition to the "mosque."

When told by the Advertiser the proposal before Camden Council was for an Islamic school not a mosque, Ms Hanson said existing schools should be good enough for Islamic students.

"I do support an education system that is pro-Australian," she said.

"Every school in Australia is Christian apart from the Islamic schools. I have no understanding of what they teach in the Islamic school, do you?" Ms Hanson asked.

"If they are teaching the kids the Koran than they are teaching the kids to oppose us because they think Christians are infidels."

Ms Hanson said Australians should be given the chance to have their own say on Islamic immigration.

"I am calling for a moratorium on any further Muslim immigration because they are incompatible with our way of life and Camden is the hot spot for this at the moment," she said.

Ms Hanson is campaigning for a Queensland seat in the federal senate and her party has senate candidates standing for election in NSW
