Unions representing meat workers have accused the Federal Government of giving processors a green light to drive down wages and conditions, by using overseas workers on 457 visas.
The Federal Government stopped the industry using the visas last year, amid claims unskilled labourers were being illegally brought into the country.
It later brokered a deal with Queensland and Western Australia to resume the scheme, and has now overruled other state governments to extend it nationally ...
