The Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) has put its full support behind a new reciprocal work and holiday visa which will allow young Americans to travel and work in Australia for up to a year.
Under the proposed visa deal, young Australians will be able to spend up to a year working in the US, with their American counterparts able to do the same in Australia.
Today’s announcement comes after years of negotiation between the Australian Department of Immigration and the US government, and is expected to come into operation as of October 31 this year.
