Labor promises 'reasonable test'

FEDERAL Shadow Immigration Minister, Tony Burke has revealed that a Labor government will make the citizenship test more reasonable if elected.

In exclusive comments made to Neos Kosmos English Edition, Mr Burke said, "what matters is that the test is reasonable".

He added that, "If the government puts forward a test that is unreasonable," and the Labor party wins the upcoming elections and forms government, "we will make it (the citizenship test) reasonable".

The revelations came in the wake of the campaign Neos Kosmos has been running in light of community sentiment against the government's proposed amendments to citizenship laws.
