The community of the Tatiara region in the upper south-east of South Australia is urging the Federal Government to let more African families move there.

Community officials say migrants from 29 cultures live in the area, with most working on farms or at the local meatworks.

A Tatiara community settlement committee was set up last year to support an influx of African and Chinese men.
